Abstract Studio Prompt Series: No. 7 - Album art

Welcome to my series of blog posts demystifying the process of making abstract art. Abstraction doesn’t have to be intimidating or confusing. In this series, I will encourage you to explore your everyday surroundings in unexpected ways, allowing you to use your daily life as rich subject matter for your art.

An artist like Raymond Pettibon could be a good inspiration for this prompt.

Prompt: Imagine your favorite album is being re-released. Design new album art for it, responding in some way to the themes, concepts or aesthetic of the music. Consider using mixed media for added depth and layers. Photograph the work and make it the correct format and size for an album or CD cover.
